AMORJ's Natural Eyeliner and Outer Eyeliner differ in coverage, appearance, and dramatic effect. Natural Eyeliner ($249) creates subtle lash line enhancement along the entire upper eyelid from inner to outer corner, depositing pigment between and directly along lash roots to create fuller-looking lashes and more defined eyes without obvious "eyeliner" lines - just naturally enhanced eyes. Outer Eyeliner ($289) includes everything from Natural enhancement plus an extended wing that projects beyond the outer corner of the eye, creating a subtle cat-eye effect or slight lift. The wing typically extends 3-8mm past the natural lash line depending on your preferences, adding elegance and making eyes appear larger and more almond-shaped. Outer Eyeliner looks more like actual eyeliner, providing a polished, made-up look even bare-faced. At AMORJ, our Korean-style outer eyeliner creates soft, subtle wings rather than dramatic Western-style cat eyes, maintaining natural beauty while adding sophisticated definition. This technique is perfect for clients who apply winged eyeliner daily or want an eye-lifting effect.

AMORJ's Outer Eyeliner works beautifully on specific eye shapes and lifestyles. You're an ideal candidate if you have: Large, open eyes with taut eyelid skin and minimal creasing, always wear winged eyeliner as part of your daily makeup routine, want to save 10-15 minutes every morning perfecting symmetrical wings, have steady hands but struggle creating uniform wings, desire a lifted and more youthful eye appearance, or plan to maintain this look for 3-5+ years (outer eyeliner is the most permanent cosmetic tattoo). However, Outer Eyeliner is not suitable for: Hooded eyes where wings may hide in creases, monolid eyes without visible lid space, deep wrinkles or folds around outer corners (wings will look bent), very uneven or asymmetrical eyes (one eye droops), or mature skin with significant sagging. AMORJ's Outer Eyeliner involves moderate discomfort but is very tolerable with our comprehensive numbing protocol. The eyelid area is more sensitive than brows as it contains more nerve endings. Strong topical anesthetic gel is applied for 15-20 minutes before starting, significantly reducing sensation. Most clients rate pain at 4-5 out of 10 - noticeably more than brow procedures but less than lip blush. During the 1-hour procedure, you'll feel vibration, scratching, and slight prickling as the needle works along the lash line and creates the wing. The inner corner near the tear duct is most sensitive; the outer corner where the wing extends feels less intense. Eyes will naturally water (completely normal), and we provide breaks for rest. Numbing cream is reapplied multiple times throughout. After the procedure, expect swelling for 24-48 hours (ice packs help), mild tenderness for 2-3 days, and possible slight bruising around outer corners. Most AMORJ clients say the results - waking up with perfect wings every day - are absolutely worth the temporary discomfort during the session.

AMORJ's Outer Eyeliner is the most permanent of all semi-permanent makeup procedures, lasting 3-5+ years before needing color refresh. Retention is excellent because deep pigment (black or dark brown) is used on thin eyelid skin. Over the years, rich color gradually fades to soft gray rather than disappearing completely. Healing timeline: Days 1-2: Significant eyelid swelling (expect puffy eyes especially in morning), wing appears very dark and bold, apply ice packs 10 minutes morning/evening, sleep elevated, avoid contact lenses. Days 3-5: Swelling significantly reduces, possible slight bruising around outer corners, liner feels tight, begin gentle cleansing, continue ointment. Days 5-10: Minimal flaking (small and barely visible unlike brow scabs), itching begins (don't scratch!), color appears slightly lighter, can carefully resume contact lenses. Days 10-14: Flaking complete, liner looks softer and lighter (30% lighter than initial), continue avoiding mascara/eye makeup. Weeks 2-6: True color gradually reappears, wing settles to final soft appearance. Complete healing takes 6-8 weeks. Touch-up after 3 months perfects wing shape and darkens color if needed. Maintenance refreshes every 3-4 years keep wings crisp and defined.
